The Coordination Chemistry Group, working at Faculty of Chemistry, Jagiellonian University in Krakow, conducts research related to metal complexes in the broadest sense of the word, employing various experimental techniques and theoretical methods.

The research activity is focused on synthesis of new coordination compounds (including metal-organic frameworks, see the MOF group) with potentially interesting properties, their physicochemical characterisation (crystal structure and properties: spectroscopic, electrochemical, adsorption of gases and vapors), explaining reaction mechanisms involving transition metal sites, as well as on understanding their electronic structure based on quantum-chemical calculations correlated with the experiments.
